I'm Thomas Sullivan.
I run Takame Studio — a one-person web studio in Franklin, Massachusetts. I design and build websites for small businesses.
But I tend to get involved in more than the website itself — the strategy behind it, the policies around it, and the tools you'll need to run it on your own.
How I work
Every project starts with a detailed questionnaire about your business — not just what you want built, but who your customers are and what you're trying to accomplish.
From there I put together a project brief: scope, timeline, and cost. That becomes the plan. When the work is done, you own everything — the code, the design, and a written operations guide so you're not dependent on a developer to run your own site.
My work
Stella Nuova's founders came to me for a Shopify store for their new fine jewelry brand. The real project turned out to be bigger: a strategy for selling custom jewelry online, store policies rewritten for Florida e-commerce law, an inventory system, and a 30-page operations guide — everything they needed to launch and run it themselves.
